Listed below are project ideas. Students are encourage to come up with new ideas.
- Job shadow a professional in your field of interest.
- Help with the Schuylkill Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic.
- Help prepare food at a local soup kitchen
- Participate in an internship offered through KYW, Vanguard or Summer Internship at CHOP.
- Get involved in Habitat for Humanity.
- Help to provide therapeutic horseback riding for handicapped children.
- Organize activities for Veterans.
- Start a letter writing campaign for our service men and women.
- Raise a seeing eye dog.
- Develop a web site for a non-profit organization
- Start a recycling program in your school in conjunction with the township.
- Volunteer at a summer camp for disadvantaged or disabled children.
- Start a garden at your community center and donate the food to a food bank.
- Start an after school club that involves the community.
- Adopt a mother and child at Christmas.
- Collect dog food for the local animal shelter.
- Help with a project at the local women's shelter or senior center.
